MY APPROACH

My Theoretical Approach

Naturally, I lean more towards an Object Relational approach, which is derived from psychoanalytic psychology. In my experience as a therapist, I can fully see what an impact our childhood environment and our earliest relationships: our mother, father, or caregiver in which we develop a natural attachment. When the attachment is not secure and healthy, this can often be the root of issues or struggles we may have within ourselves or within relationships throughout life.

Although I often look through an Object Relational lens; as I get to know my clients, I often see what approach works best for them. I am an eclectic therapist and have studied many theoretical approaches and I use several.
