COUPLES THERAPY

Couples Therapy

I love working with couples!  A couple might seek couples therapy for a variety of reasons! Couples therapy can help with communication/listening skills, intimacy, healthy boundaries, and more deeply understand each other are just a few areas in which can improve through couples therapy. My style of therapy with couples is unique: I hold what is in the best interest of the couple as a unit as well as holding space for the best interest of everyone within the couple unit. This offers a more holistic and honest view in therapy where it is a safe space to bring up all concerns after establishing a safe container to do so. Of course, if the therapy becomes more about an individual in the couple unit, they might seek individual therapy as separate from couples. I strive to build upon each couple’s resiliency within their relationship as well as stretch to new levels of resiliency to make the relationship even stronger! I am very passionate about couples’ work and enjoy it very much as it adds a very dynamic edge to my practice!

*Please note that although I specialize in working with domestic violence – I am not able to see a couple together in couple’s therapy currently experiencing domestic violence within their relationship. This is more appropriate and safe for the couple to seek their own individual therapy. Domestic Violence in an intimate relationship includes abuse of physical, psychological/mental, emotional, financial, spiritual, sexual.
